唐远炎，教授，博士生导师，澳门大学计算机与信息科学系首席教授，香港浸会大学计算机科学系名誉教授（Honorary Professor）， 国际电子电气工程学会会士(IEEE Fellow),国际模式识别学会会士(IAPR Fellow)，国际模式识别技术委员会主席 (IEEE SMC)，中国自动化学会常务理事。唐远炎教授长期从事模式识别及图像处理等领域的科学研究，已取得了一系列高创新性，具有国际先进水平的研究成果。特别是因在科学技术进步工作中做出了重大贡献而荣获2005年教育部自然科学奖一等奖。主要研究成果已有两百四十余篇发表了在高水平的国际刊物和国际会议上。

Professor Tang Yuanyan is a distinguished professor and Ph.D. supervisor in the Department of Computer and Information Science at the University of Macau. He also holds the title of Honorary Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Hong Kong Baptist University. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), a Fellow of the International Association for Pattern Recognition (IAPR), and serves as the Chair of the International Technical Committee for Pattern Recognition (IEEE SMC). Additionally, he is an Executive Director of the Chinese Association of Automation. Professor Tang has dedicated many years to scientific research in the fields of pattern recognition and image processing, achieving a series of highly innovative research results that are recognized internationally for their advanced level. Notably, he was awarded the First Prize of the Natural Science Award by the Ministry of Education in 2005 for his significant contributions to the advancement of science and technology. His primary research findings have been published in over 240 high-level international journals and conferences.
