This course systematically introduces the fundamental theory of artificial intelligence, emphasizing the core relevant basic mathematical concepts.Module description: This module provides a comprehensive introduction to the fundamentals of artificial intelligence by focusing on essential mathematical concepts. The course covers topics such as linear algebra, calculus, probability and statistics, optimization techniques, and Markov Decision Process. It aims to provide a solid theoretical foundation for further AI study while offering practical applications. The course is taught using the Python programming language. The course will include 16 teaching hours, covering lectures and examples. One assignment will be graded.

Learning outcomes: Ability to effectively apply mathematical concepts to the field of artificial intelligence and understand their interrelationships.
