Rongkun Zheng obtained his PhD from the HKUST in 2004. He is currently a Professor of Physics at the University of Sydney. His research area is Materials Physics. He has published more than 260 papers, received more than 7000 citations, and have a H index of 44.

课程简介（中英文）：本课程旨在教授半导体物理的基础理论、概念和方法及其应用，包括：半导体的基本性质、平衡态半导体的物理基础、非平衡半导体中载流子的运动规律、载流子复合、半导体PN结。

This course aims to deliver the fundamentals, concepts, methods, and applications of semiconductor physics,covering properties of semiconductors, carrier statistics at equilibrium, carrier statistics at non-equilibrium, currents in semiconductor, recombination in semiconductor, pn junction.
