Partha Sarathi Roy is an outstanding early mid-career researcher in the area of cybersecurity and post-quantum cryptography. Roy has pursued this research direction from 2014 and actively published in leading venues in this area, including highly-ranked “Euro-pean Symposium on Research in Computer Security”, “International Conference on Ap-plied Cryptography and Network Security”, “International Conference on Information-Theoretic Security”, “IEEE Transaction on Parallel Distributed System”, and “The-oretical Computer Science”. Prior to his current role as a lecturer at the University of Wollongong, Roy worked as a research engineer at the KDDI Research, Japan. In that role, Roy started his role in the development of cryptographic schemes as a re-search engineer and then he introduced the interesting research field of post-quantum cryptography to KDDI as one of the most promising future research direction of Infor-mation Security Laboratory. He is one of the few early career researchers who made submission to the effort of NIST standardisation process.

This course requires students to understand the skills and knowledge required to identify and solve security problems in emerging systems and network environments. Topics covered include: identity authentication, network authentication, access air technology, multi-layer access control mechanism, cache overflow, malware monitoring and defense, firewall, key management, network security, and so on.
