清水孝一教授在美国西雅图华盛顿大学获得了硕士（1976年）和博士（1979年）学位，于1974年至1979年在华盛顿大学担任研究员。1979年，他加入日本札幌北海道大学，担任助理教授，随后担任副教授和教授，2016年。任西安电子科技大学华山讲习教授、日本北海道大学名誉教授、日本早稻田大学特邀研究教授。

Koichi Shimizu obtained his M.S. (1976) and Ph.D. (1979) degrees from the University of Washington, Seattle, USA, and served as a Research Associate in the same institution from 1974 to 1979. In 1979, he joined Hokkaido University, Sapporo, Japan, as an Assistant Professor and subsequently held the positions of Associate Professor and Professor until 2016. He is currently a Huashan Professor of Xidian University, Xi’an, China, Professor Emeritus of Hokkaido University, Japan, and an Invited Research Professor of Waseda University, Japan.

课程简介（中英文）：本课程旨在为计划进入光学领域相关工程、科学专业学习，希望在未来研究中使用光学作为研究工具的学生提供光学的基本知识。共分为8节课共16学时。

This class is given to provide essential knowledge of optics for engineering/science major students who are planning to enter the optics field, or who expect to use optics in their future research. It is designed for 16 class-hours in 8 lectures.
