MIAN AHMAD JAN于2016年在澳大利亚悉尼科技大学获得计算机系统博士学位,曾获得国际研究奖学金和英联邦科学与工业研究组织追加奖学金,以及2014年最佳学生研究员奖和2016年论文发表奖,目前是巴基斯坦马尔丹阿卜杜勒·瓦利·汗大学计算科学系的助理教授,IEEE高级成员。自2017年以来,一直是中国北京航空大学和西北工业大学的客座教授。此外,还积极参与了与悉尼科技大学、联邦大学、斯温伯恩理工学院、东莞理工大学,河北大学和爱丁堡纳皮尔大学的研究合作。研究领域包括物联网、无线传感器网络和车载通信,更关注这些领域的网络安全、区块链、能源效率和机器学习。发表了90多篇研究论文,主要发表在EEE汇刊和爱思唯尔期刊上,如 IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications, IEEE Internet of Things Journals, ACM Computing Surveys, and Elsevier Future Generation Computer Systems。曾担任EAI/Springer未来智能汽车技术国际会议的总联合主席,在IEEE和Springer会议上组织了许多研讨会和会议。编辑了4本书(施普林格出版社),并在各种期刊上发表了10多期特刊,如IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, Elsevier Future Generation and Computer Systems and Springer Mobile Networks and Applications。我的谷歌学者的H指数反映了我研究工作的质量。
MIAN AHMAD JAN have received my PhD in Computer Systems from University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Australia in 2016. He was the recipient of International Research Scholarship (IRS) and Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) Top-up scholarships. He have been the recipient of best student researcher award for the year 2014 during my PhD studies at UTS and Post-Thesis Publication award in 2016. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computing Science, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, Pakistan. He have been a visiting professor of Beihang University and Northwestern Polytechnical University Xi'an, China since 2017. In addition, He have been actively involved in research collaboration with University of Technology Sydney, Federation University, Swinburne University of Technology, Dongguan University of Technology, Hebei University and Edinburgh Napier University. My areas of research interest include Internet of Things, Wireless Sensor Networks and Vehicular Communication. He is focused more on Cybersecurity, Blockchain, Energy efficiency and Machine Learning in these domains. He have published more than 90 research papers, mostly in prestigious IEEE Transactions and Elsevier Journals such as IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications, IEEE Internet of Things Journals, ACM Computing Surveys, and Elsevier Future Generation Computer Systems are few to mention. He have been the General Co-Chair of EAI/Springer International Conference on Future Intelligent Vehicular Technologies. He have organized a number of workshops and sessions in various prestigious IEEE and Springer conferences. In addition, He has edited 4 books (Springer) and more than 10 special issues in various journals such as IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, Elsevier Future Generation and Computer Systems and Springer Mobile Networks and Applications. He is IEEE Senior Member.

The Internet of Things has changed the way we interact with the environment, but its success cannot be achieved without embedded systems. Embedded systems are complex computerized systems that are built into physical objects and connected to networks to perform specific functions. This course first introduces the development process, basic concepts, and key components of the Internet of Things and embedded systems, then shares the key technologies of the Internet of Things and embedded systems, and finally the challenges and application scenarios of the Internet of Things and embedded systems are discussed.
